Description
Agave ‘Blue Glow’ is a beautiful succulent with solitary rosettes slowly growing up to 2 feet (60 cm) tall and up to 3 feet (90 cm) across. The leaves are up to 18 inches (45 cm) long, up to 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) wide, blue-green, with red margins edged with yellow and bearing tiny soft spines and a stout short red terminal spine. Outdoor plants typically bloom between the 10th and 15th years. Indoor plants may never flower. When an outdoor plant blooms, it sends up a single, stout, erect, up to 10 feet (3 m) tall flowering stalk from the center of the basal rosette of leaves. Greenish-yellow flowers (each up to 3 inches/7.5 cm long) bloom in panicles in July-August.
